  1. Good question. Your example seems logical to me since caboched would be used to describe the elephant. Maybe changing the sentence to ‘The photo was of a caboched elephant.’

    The following was one of the few logical example I found online –

    Heads of horned beasts are often shown caboched to display the horns.
