Moving on

I don’t remember if I re-blogged this post. If I didn’t, I am so sorry for missing it and for being so late now. Wonderful sentiments.

Reena Saxena

What happens when memories stored in video cassettes are not transferred to contemporary digital versions? The ink on old-fashioned letters fades away, but the letters have not been scanned. The pictures in the old-fashioned album, look hazy behind the tacky plastic cover.

‘Two hearts beating in unison’ is so poetically silly, when minds do not meet. We had promised to look at the same moon every night, and feel good about being connected. I stare at the computer screen, and find no trace of a message.

Does it really matter? Since I have veered off to fresher pastures myself? This ritual is just meant to extinguish the tiny traces of guilt in my old-fashioned value system.

The world has moved ahead. And so should we …..
