Each week a photo is used, donated by one of the participants of Sunday Photo Fiction, and the idea is to write a story with the photo as a prompt in around 200 words.
The longer he looked at the statue, the more humorous it looked. “Guys just sitting out on a rock, naked mind you, and what? The building is preparing to fall on him? He sees the light and is blinded?”
“You shouldn’t make fun of classical statues.”
“Why not? The birds are making fun of him. Nice perch, naked man. Gonna shit all over you.”
She walked away.
He chuckled. If the classic guy was going to model naked, the least the sculptor could have done was give him a large one.
With a grinding sound, the statue’s head turned towards him. “Least,” it rumbled, “I’m rock solid unlike you, pasty boy.”
He gulped. He must be going crazy. He’d actually thought…..
“Susan, Susan, wait up!” He jogged after her, eyes on his back the entire way.
Feel free to tackle the prompt with a story, poem or whatever strikes your fancy. Please keep your posts under 300 words. If you link back to this post, I will re-blog your post to my site.
