‘Susan. In the concrete vault behind the scarecrow are accounts set up for you. Love forever. Mike.’
Wow! So much said in so few words. How the note seems to tie the whole piece together, to ground it in some sense of understanding and loving kindness.

This is bittersweet! She thought she had been left with nothing and he left her with accounts set up behind the scarecrow she thought was worthless! Great story!! I have to apologize to you. When I came in to read your story, it was showing your Friday Fictioneers story and I thought you had linked up the wrong story to FFfAW. Please accept my apology!
